According to the Prime Minister, becoming part of the BRICS group could foster more equitable international trade and encourage the development of trade in national currencies.

Additionally, the two representatives discussed the upcoming Burkina Faso Economic Days, which will be held in Moscow from 8 to 11 October. The event aims to explore potential partnerships between Russian and Burkinabe companies, with the goal of enhancing bilateral trade and economic relations.

The African head of government also highlighted the shared political vision of Russia and Burkina Faso.

“This (holding the JEB in Moscow. – Ed.) is a demonstration of our interest in Russia and strengthening cooperation between the two countries. There are very few Russian companies in Burkina Faso. Our goal is to strengthen not only the Russian economic presence in Burkina Faso but also the economic presence of Burkina Faso in Russia,” said Kyelem de Tambela.

Ambassador Igor Martynov described the meeting as fruitful, pointing out that the two nations share similar approaches to bilateral cooperation.
