Vietnam National Symphony Orchestra to perform Christmas charity concerts in Hanoi

The Vietnam National Symphony Orchestra will give two Christmas concerts in Hanoi on 26 and 27 December. 


Funds raised will go to help children from low-income families, as reported by
Vietnam News Agency (VNA), a partner of TV BRICS.


The concerts will be conducted by chief conductor Tetsuji Honna. Vietnamese oboist Bui Son Tung, first violinists Le Hoang Lan and Dai Mai Anh, double bass player Vu Cam Tu and others will also play pieces by musicians of the Baroque period including Handel, Bach, Alessandro Marcello and Tomaso Giovanni Albinoni.


The Vietnam National Symphony Orchestra, founded in 1959, gives about 40 concerts a year, performing works of different styles and genres, from classical to contemporary music.
