Iranian developers have created smart collars for livestock, designed to enhance lactation, reproduction, and overall livestock health. This is reported by

The innovative product integrates artificial intelligence (AI) and Internet of Things (IoT) technology to optimise animal management and improve efficiency in agriculture.
The smart collar system comprises two main components: a monitoring device worn around the animal’s neck and a functional unit installed in the animal’s water trough. These components work in tandem, using AI to analyse behavioural and metabolic data, enabling precise adjustments to maximise livestock health and productivity.
The implementation of this smart technology has demonstrated remarkable results, including a minimum 10 per cent increase in productivity, enhanced lactation, improved resting time, and a 25 per cent boost in animal pregnancy rates. Additionally, it strengthens resistance to diseases and stress, making it a valuable tool for sustainable farming.
Developers emphasised the economic advantages of the product, noting that its cost can be recovered within just one month through increased milk production. This makes it an accessible and profitable solution for livestock farmers, as reported by the source.
