Arab News.

The newly recognised sites span various regions, with significant additions recorded in Riyadh (1,950), Madinah (3,273), and Al-Baha (1,531).

The commission underscored its mission to safeguard Saudi Arabia’s urban heritage for future generations while promoting public awareness of its cultural value. Through ongoing research, advanced technologies, and modern preservation methods, the organisation is building a comprehensive database to document these historical assets.

Authorities also highlighted the critical role of local communities in protecting and maintaining heritage sites, ensuring their preservation as living representations of the Kingdom’s rich historical narrative.
