Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro will sign a decree on inauguration day, 10 January, on the creation of a national and international commission to carry out constitutional reform in the country. This is reported by
Venezolana de Television, a partner of TV BRICS.

The commission will organise debates between representatives of the political, economic, social and cultural spheres. The discussions will produce a model for Venezuela’s development for the next 30 years.

Maduro emphasised that the constitutional reform is designed to unite Venezuelans around a common project. He also instructed deputies to prepare relevant proposals.

Venezuela’s incumbent President Nicolas Maduro won the presidential election on 28 July 2024. He will take the oath of office at the Federal Legislative Palace in Caracas, officially taking office as head of state for the third time.
