The International Conference “Russian Language, Literature, Translation and Culture in the XXI Century: Reassessment and Prospects” will be held in India on 24-25 January. The event will be held at the Jawaharlal Nehru University in New Delhi.
The meeting will bring together more than 100 experts from India, Russia, Uzbekistan, and other countries in face-to-face and distance formats. The working languages will be Russian and English.
The scientific forum will cover a wide range of topics. In particular, the participants will discuss the rethinking of Russian history in Russian literature of the XXI century, the peculiarities of artistic translation and transliteration, as well as popular science literature. Special attention will be paid to Russian language teaching using modern technologies, cultural ties between Russia and India, and the influence of Russian cinema on Indian cinema.
The conference is expected to become an important platform for discussing contemporary challenges and opportunities of Russian language, literature and culture, as well as for strengthening international cooperation.
The meeting is organised by the Union of Russian Translators of India, the Russkiy Mir Foundation and the Indo-Russian Research Foundation.
